Limitless is dedicated to making a difference within the local community and this year we have committed to volunteering and fundraising for The Moss Side Millennium Powerhouse.
ABOUT POWERHOUSE
Powerhouse was founded in 2000 and is home to a range of services for young people and local families. This includes mental health, careers advice, specialist programmes for young people 16-19 who are NEET. They offer arts and crafts/ music and drama sessions, they also have a large sports facility and library for young people on site. It is a great space to help them feel safe and comfortable.
WHAT WE WILL DO
In 2024 we took part in numerous fundraisers including quiz nights, long distance running and a team Tough Mudder. We have pledged to raise £10,000 that will directly support Powerhouse’s current initiatives.
This year we have completed a team sky dive and charity football matches. More will come in Autumn as we aim to reach the £10,000 goal.
It is not all about the financial contributions, as we have now volunteered across 4 school holidays, assisting with onsite sessions and offering our skills and support with any projects.
The head of volunteering for Powerhouse left this feedback – “Just to say that your staff are fantastic! We really enjoy working with them and they have been fully integrated into our play team. They are willing, keen, enthusiastic and extremely nurturing with the children and young people.”
